Use of this Site is restricted to persons who are 16 years of age or older. Information We Collect From You
During sign up we require that you provide us with certain information, which may include Account Data (i.e., your name, email address, phone number, carrier, username, and password), Financial Data (i.e., credit card/billing information), Vehicle Information (i.e., Issuing State, Plate Number). This is considered membership registration information and is stored on our server infrastructure within the United States. We do not distribute this information unless required by law. We do not sell your data under any circumstances.
Disclosures Made as Necessitated by Law or Safety
Your name, physical address, phone number and password are considered confidential. However, all information you provide to us may be shared with other third parties as necessary to comply with applicable law, to cooperate with law enforcement and the court system.
How is this Information Used?

Advertisements
We utilize the services of outside advertising agencies to advertise our services and goods and/or services offered by third parties. Either our advertising agencies or we may use cookies and/or “action tags” to measure advertising effectiveness on an “anonymous basis”. Some emails from us may contain advertisements from companies unrelated to the Sites. Should you elect to visit any such advertiser’s website, we cannot, and do not, make any representations about applicable terms and conditions or privacy policies for such advertisers’ websites. Information You Share on Platetext, Incorporate Sites.
Your User ID is displayed throughout Platetext, Incorporate “sites” (and so available to the public), and is connected to all of your activity. Other people can see your profile, published pictures, ratings, and associated comments. So if you associate your name or other personal contact information with your User ID, the people to whom you have revealed your name will be able to personally identify your PlateText, Incorporated activities.
If you access our sites from a shared computer or a computer in an internet café, certain information about you, such as your User ID, activity or reminders from Platetext, Inc., may also be visible to other individuals who use the computer after you.
Account Protection
Your password is the key to your account. Use unique numbers, letters and special characters, and do not disclose your Platetext password to anyone. You can see, review and change most of your personal information by signing on to Platetxt.com. Generally, we will not manually modify your personal information because it is very difficult to verify your identity remotely. You must promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. Once you make a public posting, you may not be able to change or remove it. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable law. We do retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Platetext User Agreement, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

Your information is stored on our servers located in the United States. We treat data as an asset that must be protected and use lots of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure.
